IKS Fest 2026 | Celebrating Traditional Food & Knowledge 
Bharata Mata School of Social Work was delighted to be part of IKS Fest 20Sajila, Aneenaby the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Cell, Bharata Mata College, with a special food stall celebrating the richness of traditional Kerala food practices.
Our stall featured a variety of traditional tuber delicacies, served on plantain leaves and paired with homemade-style chutneys including kanthari, mango and onion chutneys. The initiative offered our students an opportunity to connect traditional food, indigenous knowledge and sustainable practices with a vibrant campus experience. 
A heartfelt thank you to the IKS Cell for giving BMSSW this wonderful opportunity, and special thanks to Dr. Joyson Jose, Department of English, BMC, Dr. Sheena Rajan Philip, and Dr Remesh Krishnan P, BMSSW, for facilitating and hosting this opportunity.
Special appreciation to our III Semester BSW students, Ashtami, Nandana, Sajila, Aneena, Aiswarya, Sivani, and Niya, for their enthusiastic participation and overall coordination of the stall.
From traditional flavours to student-led learning, it was a wonderful celebration of knowledge, culture, community and sustainability.
