We are delighted to introduce Dr. Gokul S, a JRF-qualified scholar who earned his PhD in Social Work from Pondicherry University. His expertise lies in caregiver well-being, disability studies, and inclusive policy frameworks. Enriched by international academic exposure in Germany, he brings a global perspective to social work education. His experience as an Assistant Professor, Student Counsellor, and active researcher with publications in reputed journals strengthens our department’s commitment to research-driven learning.
We also welcome Dr. Elizabeth Misao, an accomplished researcher and educator from Manipur. Holding a PhD in Social Work, her scholarly work focuses on armed conflict, trauma, resilience, gender, and the lived experiences of conflict-affected widows. Her expertise in Conflict and Peace Studies and Women and Gender Studies offers students a unique opportunity to engage with critical social issues through a human rights and social justice lens.
Adding further strength to our academic community is Ms. Daisy Zacharia, a PhD Scholar at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. With advanced academic training from TISS Mumbai and research collaborations with international institutions, her work explores mental health systems, gender, sexuality, and healthcare migration.
Joining the faculty team is Ms. SREEKUTTY M J, a Doctoral Scholar in Social Work specializing in Tribal Livelihood. With a Master’s degree in Social Work from Marian College, Kuttikanam, specializing in Family and Child Welfare, her academic interests span youth development, mental health, skill development, tribal welfare, and social work education. Her professional journey includes contributions to community tourism, higher education, making her a valuable mentor for aspiring social workers.
Completing this exceptional team is Ms. Anupama Rajan , a distinguished social work professional specializing in Child Rights and Child Protection. A postgraduate rank holder, she has successfully coordinated major CSR initiatives and community development projects, bringing valuable field-based insights into the academic environment.
